To my person

To my person

I was born in 1967, am married and the mother of one son, born in 1992.

I began my professional career with training as a state-certified nurse, followed by a state-certified specialist in organization and management - with a focus on social affairs.

Since 2014 I have been a recognized therapist for dyscalculia, dyslexia, giftedness etc. according to § 35a SGB in Miltenberg.

My story and motivations.....

My life is shaped by my son, who, due to his giftedness, reached the limits of our system very early on:

Our story began in 1996 when our son Florian, then 4 years old, noticed that his behavior did not correspond to the norm.

He read very early and his areas of interest were not age appropriate.

In kindergarten, this meant that he didn't want to do the things he was supposed to do and wasn't allowed to do the things he wanted to do. A talent was identified.

CONCLUSION:

It's not easy when you don't conform to the norm.

Consequences with which we/I had to struggle were envy, resentment and a lack of understanding from others. Our path wasn't easy, but I didn't give up and learned to fight to support our son in the best possible way.

Although our son is very talented, no school in Germany wanted to take him after primary school. At the age of 8 he was too young for a normal high school and the schools/teachers felt overwhelmed. We went to a private school in Switzerland for a year. Within a year, Florian completed the 5th and 6th grade there.

Our path then led to a boarding school for gifted students in Scotland, where I also worked for two years as a housemistress (extracurricular boarding school manager). At the age of 14, Florian graduated from this school with the Scottish Abitur (Higher and Advanced Higher level) and could have studied with it. Being a "normal" student at 14, how should that work? Our solution was to attend a school in England before studying, where he could complete the internationally recognized Abitur (IB International Baccalaureate). At 17 he returned to Scotland to study.

During all these years I became aware of the concerns and problems that children, parents and teachers face. Based on my personal experiences, I decided to turn professionally to systemic family therapy in order to provide advice to people in similar conflict situations in the future. In 2011 I successfully completed my studies with the academic title "Master of Science in Systemic Therapy" (University of Bedfordshire).

I work together with those involved in a goal-oriented manner to find solutions to your problem. In systemic family counseling, the problem is not viewed in isolation, but always seen in the overall context and in the interaction of all those involved.

"Not the person

is the problem,

but the problem

is the problem.” Michael White

In the state healthcare system, my clients were individuals, couples, families and organizations (schools, youth welfare offices, hospitals, etc.) with a wide variety of problem areas. Before I founded my practice in 2012, I worked as a reference therapist in a psychosomatic clinic.

My extensive experience in all areas of systemic therapy and counseling in theory and practice enables me to work with you to find a quick and effective solution to your personal problem.
